Originally released on Dreck Records in 2003 (DRK-03)

“You’re the One/Caramel” is the second release in Secondo’s Schnitzel Technik series, which reconfigures existing popsongs structurally while retaining the flavour of the original track. The atmospheres of the spliced-up originals remain intact, while the tracks rhythmically change beyond recognition. On this release Secondo reworks a disco-funk-classic from 1982 and a Susanne Vega song on the B-side. After flirting with hip hop and an 80’s pop song on the previous Dreck release, the schnitzel thing gets applied here to two more genres.
